Buh bye shop kitties...

I feel like such a big girl and such a baby at the same time. A while back i had taken a picture of the black kitten (Nitto) and his momma (Nala) that had adopted us at the shop. Well Nitto was not around very long (i purposely chose not to think about what might and most likely has happened to him), but Nala has stayed around ever since (much to Derek's dismay). She would meow at my office door and i would go outside and fill her water bowl with fresh water and give her food. About a month or two ago we noticed that she was QUITE pregnant (can't believe we didn't notice before she is SO skinny and perhaps THIS is the reason Nitto wasn't around anymore). Then about 2 weeks ago, Nala went missing for a couple days and when she returned she was even skinnier than before we knew she was pregnant! Nala had her baby(ies)! I kept feeding her and watching out for where she was coming from/going to to see if i could find the baby(ies), but nope. Then yesterday, just as i am about to leave for my fun shopping trip Jimmy comes into the office and says he found them! Nala had 6 S I X babies! 2 black and white ones, 3 with grey tiger stripes and 1 orange and white one. They were maybe 3/4 inches long, Jimmy put some carpet in a box and put the kitties in the box and we brought them in the office.....and i called the Haltom City Animal Shelter. Jimmy said i had to leave before the guy came to pick up Nala and her babies because he knew i would lose it. I am very proud of myself though because normally i would have suckered Jimmy into letting me keep at LEAST one, if not all of the kitties and Nala, but i know i did the right thing and that Nala will be well taken care of and her kitties will be adopted quickly and Nala will at least get spayed. I do miss hearing Nala's meow for food and attention.
