Happy Non-Birth Day

I do believe that my 27th birthday has now trumped my 25th for worst birthday ever (my 25th just sucked because i was driving 1/2 way across the country, moving to TX and leaving all my family behind, got a sunburn on 1/2 my face and Jimmy didn't acknowledge the day in any special way, i got more love and attention from Jenni and Derek, so not cool of Jimmy)!
Woke up at 5:55am to call the Birth Center, no births in progress so i took the Cytotec at 6:00am as scheduled. Went back to bed for about 1/2 an hour, but was too excited to sleep. Woke up my sister and Jimmy, Jimmy packed up the car and off we went! Got to the Birth Center and Cherie met us there to give me another dose of Cytotec (9:00am). Waited for an hour, started getting minor cramps/contractions (30 sec every 3 min), nothing major. Cherie said we should go to breakfast or go see a movie close by. We decided to show Tara the Galleria Mall. Inside the mall we found 5 Guys Burgers & Fries. Pretty darn yummy (pretty much the only highlight of the day). Contractions were still coming at a regular interval, but nothing that i would describe as unbearable pain, so we kept walking.
After the mall, we go to Best Buy because Jimmy wanted to look at video cameras. The had an awesome promotion, so Jimmy decided to buy one. By now, it is 1:30 and there still is no progress. I call Cherie and she again suggests a movie, but by this point i have pretty much given up hope of anything happening, we decide to go home; i was tired of driving around Dallas looking for something to do and spending $ that we don't have on stupid stuff (like gas, food, movies).
I take a short nap, Jimmy plays with the new video camera, and Tara decides that she should probably change her shuttle plans (they were supposed to pick her up at the Birth Center and take her to the airport, but story of my life, we aren't AT the Birth Center, so they picked her up at my house). Jimmy goes into the office to get some stuff done and my sister gets picked up for the airport, me you ask? I am home alone...on my birthday...with no Ike...and no major contractions.
Jimmy gets home, i make crap dinner and we go to bed. No baby, no card, no dinner, no present (well, after we got home Jimmy informed me that the video camera is BOTH of our birthday present...i wanted a watch). Happy Birthday!

I'm so sorry, Rhi! What a load of stinky-ness! Why don't you let them induce you?

I'm sorry your day didn't turn out like you had wanted. But, you will be glad you got a video camera! We picked up ours the first day the hospital sent us home...the day we were suposed to have Luke, shopping did make it a little better. And now we just think that if we didn't get sent home, we wouldn't have the camera with all of the videos that we have now. I know, not making you feel better...hang in there, soon!
