Saturday was a LONG exhausting day and Sunday is a day of rest and family (at least this is how we justified it in our minds). So although it was Sunday, we slept in, we went to Bacon's for breakfast, then to Lowe's to swap out the paint to complete another step in Ike's room.
Daniel and Jim went to Bacon's Saturday morning and Daniel was so impressed he wanted to take Tara on Sunday (i think he just wanted to go back for some more yummy bacon). After that we went to Lowe's traded in the puny 1/2 pint can of brown paint for a full gallon since we decided that wainscoating would not work so well and we would just paint the bottom half of the wall and put in a chair rail. We also needed smalled paint brushes so that Tara could paint the fish and dots on the top part of the walls. All done with paint!!! I LOVE love love how it looks! Totally worth the back breaking effort, plus with my sister's instruction i was able to paint a couple of the dots and fish (she made templates)!!
We finished up the evening by grilling out. Jimmy made the BEST BBQ chicken ever and i made some yummy homemade mac & cheese. It was a wonderful day and i think we all really enjoyed ourselves.

In collins room we are painting it yellow and blue and doing the blue and lime green dots just like yours. I don't know if I can tackle the fish. Bobby is leaving tomrrow for a week with the boys to visit his mom..YAY...and yes I am not going..heheh...Bad huh?!?!?!?
So I am going to try it while he is goine..I do projects when he leaves!gutrchxl
That was a good idea to do the templates for the dots and fish, I thought they were decal things! I have never been to this bacons place...it sounds like I need to go and try it out!
The room looks awesome, Ike will love it!!
