Day 3

Still nothing yummy and now i want an Oreo milkshake from JackintheBox, gggrrrrr. Oh and down .2, my total weight gain from my pre pregnancy weight is now 9.4 pounds @ 25 weeks (just about). Now the mature side of me must reply to a couple comments i've gotten. i KNOW that the MW's intention is NOT for me to lose weight, but to eat better and not gain as MUCH weight as i did last month. However! I think she got the weeks messed up in her head because she kept saying i can't gain 2 pounds a week when in reality it was 1.5 pounds a week and that falls well within the normal range of weight gain (per the books/nest) for me right now. MW wants me to gain more like 1 pound per week, that would bring my total to approx 25 pounds which is good and actually more of what i wanted to gain, BUT i am NOT a tree hugger! I do not exist on berries, nuts and rabbit food, because i am not a rabbit. I love chemicals and overly processed carbs and vitamin G. I know that she is simply trying to get me to eat healthier for the sake of Ike, it just doesn't make it any easier.
Now the immature part: She's mean and i don't like her, she made me cry and now i am constantly weighing myself and thinking i am a fat a$$. :p

I am sure that she doesn't want you to lose weight, like you said. I doubt she would completely forbid certain foods either, unless you indicated that you have a hard time limiting the junk food. It is so hard not to take everything personally when you are pregnant. When I had to do the "analyze your diet for 5 days" thing, I didn't want to turn in my results. She's probably trying to look at the big picture. Everyone's weight gain is different of course, but my gain was about on par until the last two months, then I gained 12 lbs, and 15 lbs. I wasn't eating any differently, but the darn pregnancy caused my body to retain so much water and the baby weighed more, and I couldn't eat an M&M without packing on 2 lbs. I'm sure you will be great, and I'm sure she doesn't think you are a big turkey, and like you said she just wants you to be healthy. But I know it is hard enough to think about weight when you are not pregnant and it gets even harder to take each pound "for the team" as you are growing sweet little Ike. I gained the same amount of weight with both my kids, but I was more healthy with Kelton, and that delivery was so much easier. You will do great with everything. Keep your chin up and start sending yourself happy thoughts! You are awesome!

Hugs to you! I'm glad you're taking what she said and looking at it logically rather than literally. It's hard, but you can do it! Just make sure you don't lose too much weight because that's just as bad. I gained 15 pounds my last month too, all because Lillian was just big and big babies make more amniotic fluid. Sucks, but it is what it is. AND, to give you some hope, I was back to pre-pregnancy weight before I went back to work. Now, I'll warn you that pre-pregnancy weight doesn't = pre-pregnancy size. LOL But if you stay healthy and gain the overall total that you "should", it's much easier to take off. Regardless, Ike will be worth it! Every doctor/midwife is going to give some kind of advice that doesn't jive with your own thoughts. So as long as you love everything else about them and you keep thinking for yourself and reading all the info you can find you will be great and make it through. I can't believe you're 25 weeks already, only 15 left!!! It'll be here before you know it!
