Busy Weekend & Broken Back

Well it feels like i'm dying anyway, lol.

Friday i went to Kari's and got my hair did! That was so nice! Her salon is all fixed up now and i got my hair washed in a real shampoo bowl, lol. I debated bangs and cutting a couple inches from the length, however i took a couple seconds and pictured my shorter/banged do and decided that there was NO WAY i was going through all that grow out phase again. Plus i want to stay married (most days, lol). Friday night while Jimmy was playing cars i decided that i would tape out Ike's room to get it ready for painting. I was getting antsy and sick of waiting (and listening to excuses).

Saturday, back at Kari's for a Spa Party. I really enjoyed myself and the products felt wonderful on my skin. I've decided to host a party (Aug 2nd) and learn a bit more about the company. Depending on how the party goes i may just become a distributor!

After the Spa luxuries with my skin feeling all sorts of nice i went to lunch with Dan, Christie and their kids. We went to Red Robin (??). I had only been there once before and i didn't recall it being this wonderful place to go, but man this time?! I was LOVING it! I got a California Chicken Burger and yummy tropical smoothie thing, so so so good. I will definitely be back and MAYBE convince Jimmy to take me there for date night, lol.

After lunch i quickly ran into Lowe's to get a paint tray and decided that the likelihood of Jimmy ever painting Ike's room on a time line i would be happy with was slim to none, even if it was all taped out and ready to go. So, i painted the whole thing myself. Two coats! I also figured i would paint and do squats at the same time (yes at times i am completely certifiable). So i climbed the ladder, painted the edges with a paint brush, went down the ladder to swap the brush for a roller, back up ladder to paint with roller, back down ladder to paint/squat using roller on the lower portion and then move the ladder a couple feet to begin the process again. No kidding i swear i pulled a muscle in my back AND my butt. It hurts to go into a sitting position and once i am there it hurts to try and get up again (complete torture for a pregnant woman who has to pee 50 times a day!).

I WAS able to brow beat Jimmy into hanging up the valances, so i took a pic of that! Once the room is complete i will post more. We still have the floors to do, beadboard to install and a chair rail. Should be interesting...

Sometimes the best way to get stuff done is to do it yourself. I have also found that if you start to drill holes in the walls they will often step in and finish (actually do) the project you have been waiting for them to start this whole time.

LOL, for that reason i have actually been debating all day whether i will at some point this week start pulling the carpet up from the floor in Ike's room! lol

Not only is the best way to get stuff done to do it yourself...but then you know it is done right and only has to be done once! I did Lukes nursery all by myself, paint, valance, put the crib and changing table together etc. Michael did help me put the dresser together because that sucker has heavy! But it all got done with lots of time to spare! Let me know if you ever need any help!

Yup! That's Abel, so far Abel and Mo sleep in the crib and Cain has taken over the bassinette (sp?)! They refuse to come out, lol.
