Ikey in sky, he's flyin....

Okay so not the most original of titles, however, i thought it was pretty good, lol.

Ike did SO well on the airplane both going to Florida and coming home! We left on Wednesday afternoon and came home on Tuesday night. We've learned a few things about traveling and i'm sure as Ike gets older we will learn a lot more. We flew into Tampa (we will never fly into Tampa again-unless we are staying in Tampa, lol) and drove to Jimmy's parents in Punta Gorda. As soon as we got to their house, we gave Ike a bath and put him to bed.

Thanksgiving was spent with his parents as well. Lots of turkey and plenty to eat. Then i got horrible news from my mother; my Uncle Tommy had passed away the night before. There was a lot of rushing around between my sister and i to get my mother a plane ticket to NJ, but eventually we got it and my mother is there now. My heart is a little broken. Thursday night Tiffy and i decided to go see Twilight!

Friday, we stayed around the house and then went to Fort Myers/Lehigh to visit with our friends Jose and Jenn (and Tina) and Frank and Patty (and Ryder). Saturday, we drove to West Palm (i call the whole lower East Coast West Palm, drives Jimmy nuts) to visit with Mark and Jenn, Ike did fairly well, but it became pretty obvious that Ike hates his carseat, lol.

Sunday was Ike's Blessing at the Port Charlotte Ward. I really wish we could have had it here in Texas and has his parents fly out, but....it is what it is. We were blessed to have several friends come and we are very greatful for that. We also had a small party afterwards, i guess it was technically for Ike, but he slept through it, lol.

Sunday night we stayed at my Dad and Stepmom's house in Naples, i had several family members there to meet Ike as well. Monday we spent the day in Naples. We went to Jimmy's corporate office to see his partner and old coworkers, then we went to Alice Sweetwaters (Jimmy's favorite-lobster bisque) for lunch before heading to the Pier. We met up with my brother Anthony and Shannon (and my most darling favorite niece in the whole world Sydney) at Olive Garden for dinner.

Tuesday was spent packing and then flying home. We are SOOOO happy to be home, but it was so nice to see so many family and friends.

I was worried about traveling with Luke when he was 2 months old....I had nothing to worry about, traveling when they get older, much worse! Looks like you crammed a lot of fun things in and got to see a lot of family and friends! And it looks really warm there!

I'm glad that you had such a good trip. No matter how much you love your family, there's no place like home!

I'm so jealous that you went to Alice Sweetwaters. Derek took me that one time and I got the last serving of lobster bisque for that day and oh my stars it was good.

Glad that you had such a nice trip.
