My Ode to Sonny's

I am quite possibly the most spoiled person walking this earth, at least for today, lol.

I received 3 boxes from my "mom" today. I am loved and i know it! The first box was the Splash bedding that my "mom" ordered for Ike or Lily's nursery. So cute! The second box was several paintings (original watercolors of which i have to be honest and say that art is definitely not something i am knowledgable about but they look pretty), some from Vietnam for our bedroom and some of Naples, my hometown. The 3rd box is honestly what tells me that 1) i am WAY loved and 2) that i am in for some major competition from Jimmy in keeping that love focused on me, lol. My "mom" sent us a box FULL of Everglades Seasoning (most definitely this was for Jimmy, who swears that she loves him more than she loves me) and ta da..........Sonny's Sweet BBQ Sauce!!!! That was SO for me! I am so happy i don't care if she does love Jimmy more than me, she loves me enough to get me Sonny's, lol.

The story behind the BBQ sauce is that moving to TX was going to kill me for a couple petty-ish things, one of them was Sonny's. I grew up on this BBQ and NOTHING beats it, not even my Dad's (sorry Dad). However i was optimistic to go TX and eat yummy BBQ because supposedly they have the best right? WRONG! Sorry TX BBQ lovers, but so far nothing is as good (Red Hot and Blue is the best so far, but still not Sonny's). Sonny's has the best BBQ, the best BBQ beans and the absolute best garlic toast. Sniff sniff, i miss Sonny's, but at least i have their sauce. I may end up getting kicked out of a restuarant (apparently i've developed a knack for getting kicked out of restuarants in TX, lol dad's so proud), but i kid you not i will be taking a jar with me next time i get some BBQ! Hip Hip Hooray!
