New frienships...

With our previous couple friendship having turned into a slight disaster (i still fear showing my face in a certain Chicken Express), we have been somewhat weary of becoming friendly with any of the other couples in our ward. However, Sunday night we were invited to a couples house and there with another couple we had dinner and dessert (2 out of the 3 women are pregnant, so you KNOW dessert is a must have, lol). It was so nice to be able to talk and joke around with other couples and not have a fear of backlash surrounding you. The guys all seemed to get along (although since the other guys aren't all into cars, i don't see this becoming a weekly habit) and it was nice to talk to women my age that i had common interests with. As i said early i don't anticipate this becoming a weekly tradition or anything, but it was nice to have taken some babysteps in developing new friendships. Not an easy feat for me!
