We woke up EARLY Thursday morning and we are on the road by 5am. We decided to stop in TN at my grandparents house on the way. We got there 12 1/2 hours later. Ike was a little scared and a lot overtired so unfortunately my Grandma and Grandpa didn't get the best side of Ike, however Ike adored my Aunt Bobbie and hung out with her the whole time he was awake, lol. Here's some pics of the drive from TN to SC, soooo pretty.
Friday we waited for Ike to wake up before we left (he refuses to sleep in the car and Thursday really wore him out). We got to SC around 4pm. We stayed at my Aunt Dar and Uncle David's house. My mom was the first to wrestle Ike away from me, however unlike our experience in TN, Ike was totally okay with everyone coming up to him at once. Ike played with GG (Grandma G, my mom) and my Uncles. He went to bed without a problem. Mommy should have followed suit, instead i had some smores with my siblings and cousins and then i stayed up way too late talking with my cousins Heather & Jenn and my Aunt Dar.
Saturday was the official day of the Family Reunion. Ike and i woke up to yummy breakfast! Ike had some sausage (which he helped cooked) and some French Toast (i swear ike is a human garbage disposal). Then we played pass the baby. Ike loved my cousins' kids and they seemed to like him a whole bunch too :o). There was a pirate treasure hunt for the kids and lots of great food for the adults. Ike LOVED the cupcakes and Daddy let him sip beer (before yall go calling CPS it was non-alcoholic), Mommy was none to pleased with the beer sipping.
Sunday we went to breakfast with my brother, sister and brother in law :o) Ike had some yummy pancakes (he is really into table food now in case you hadn't noticed); Mommy had a lot more than that. That afternoon Jimmy and i went with Tara, Daniel, GG, Uncle David and Uncle Joe to downtown Charleston for a drive by tour (it was raining out), while ike stayed with Heather & Jenn. Then we all went to dinner at a local seafood place called Gilligan's. Oh my word, the hushpuppies were to die for and i am pretty sure that i had the very best chicken fingers ever (not a seafood fan). Ike ate anything anyone would feed him (except seafood, please remember to tell the social worker that when you call CPS about the fake beer) and thoroughly enjoyed himself.
Monday morning we left Charleston and decided to drive straight home instead of going to TN. We made it home at 11pm completely exhausted, but safe :o)
