Ike's school was closed for Columbus Day, so we thought since one of us had to take off work anyway, we could both take off and spend the day as a family at the fair. Biggest mistake ever. I had no clue, but apparently the local schools give free tickets to their students for Columbus Day. It took over 4 hours just to get inside! The place was shoulder to shoulder full of people, it was hot and we were hungry. We got some food from the stand with the shortest line, checked out the live stock and then went home. I didn't get a corndog or caramel apple :o( I was sad.

You didn't miss much. The last time I was there (three years ago) I had a corndog and it made me sick. I don't think there was anything wrong with it, just the grease was WAY more than my system was used to.
