Birthday Party

Ike's "theme" was The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Ike's invites were caterpillars with magnets so his friends could "Save the Date" on their fridge :o)  I ordered green frosted cupcakes from Target and made the red giant cupcake for the caterpillars head (Ike's smash cake) and made caterpillar faces on the party hats.  Our friend Bonnie let us rent her bounce house (which was a total hit; the kids loved it!), that was the only "activity" planned.  We served hotdogs, fruit/veggie platters, cheese & crackers and of course veggie straws.  For ike's friends, i made a giant caterpillar out of bouncey balls and used stickers to put each child's name on a ball (ike got the red one for the head).  Then we had some gummie worms and butterfly lollipops in their goodie bags.  Ike had so much fun and passed out for 4 hours after the party, lol.

How fun! What a great idea for the theme :-) How on Earth did you make that huge cupcake?

Ok too funny. So I love the pic of you in the green shirt holding Ike and all I could think was how pretty you look and how much like your mom you look in this pic. I meant Pat!
